Different products are subject to different requirements. Compliance review begins with each individual product.Bringing food products into the U.S. market requires more than obtaining a single certificate. Documentation and import requirements may vary depending on the product’s formulation, ingredient sources, processing methods, and regulatory category.
Before entering into a partnership, Shinshot NutriLab reviews documentation provided by manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, warehousing providers, and logistics companies. For imported foods regulated by the FDA, we assess applicable requirements such as food facility registration, U.S. agent designation, the importer’s Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), Prior Notice, product labeling, and allergen declarations.
Products containing meat, poultry, or processed egg products may also be subject to USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service requirements. In these cases, we further verify whether the exporting country, producing establishment, and product category are eligible for entry into the United States.
We do not determine a product’s import eligibility based solely on a factory’s previous export experience. Each product is reviewed individually against the applicable requirements.
After a product enters our supply system, we continue to monitor registration and certification validity, formulation changes, packaging updates, and supplier changes. Key documents are organized by product and production batch to support future reference, import verification, and issue tracking.
